The expanded EV tax credits are now in full effect in the US. To make it easier to find eligible vehicles, we created a VIN lookup for used electric cars. Test it by pasting a VIN from a local or national car dealership!

Which cars are most likely to be eligible?

Here are some of the cars that are most commonly eligible based on price and age. Tesla's Model 3 may still be a rare find, but expect to see more of them in this price range in the coming months.

• Nissan LEAF (2011 to 2019)
• Fiat 500e (2014 to 2018)
• VW e-Golf (2015 to 2019)
• BMW i3 (2014 to 2019)
• Chevy Bolt (2017 to 2020)
• Hyundai Ioniq (2019 to 2020)
• Hyundai Kona EV (2019)
• Tesla Model 3 (2018)
