What do Vehicle Insights tell me?

A guide to what's in your Recurrent dashboard

Vehicle Insights is Recurrent's connected owner dashboard. Once you link your EV(s) to Recurrent via a secure connection, we collect battery and range data a few times a day and use it — alongside real-world data from thousands of similar vehicles — to give you an ongoing picture of how your car is performing and aging.

Here's what each section covers:

Expected Range The Range Insights section shows your vehicle's Expected Range on a full charge — Recurrent's estimate of real-world driving performance, based on observed fleet data rather than your dashboard or EPA rating. The seasonal chart shows how that range shifts across temperatures throughout the year.

Range Score Range Score is a percentage comparing your vehicle's current Expected Range to what was typical for that make, model, and battery configuration when new. A score of 80 means your vehicle is delivering 80% of its original real-world range. Scores are capped at 100.

Range in 3 Years This module projects your vehicle's Expected Range three years from now, based on typical battery degradation patterns for your vehicle class and updated degradation models calibrated against real driving data.

Battery History Battery History estimates the current usable capacity of your battery pack as a percentage of its original size — a bigger-picture view of battery health independent of day-to-day range estimates. Currently available for Tesla vehicles.

Comparative Insights This module compares your vehicle's range trajectory against thousands of similar vehicles, showing where yours falls within the typical band for its age and model. All comparisons use Expected Range as the baseline.

Charging Insights The charging section tracks your car's state of charge over time, showing patterns in how you charge and use your vehicle day to day.
