What is Range Score?

Range Score is a simple way to answer a hard question: how is this battery holding up?

Range Score compares a vehicle’s current real-world range to what was normal for that exact make, model, and battery configuration when it was new. A score of 100 means the car is performing like new.

We measure against a car’s real-world range when new, not its EPA rating. We do this because the EVs we observe often perform differently than the EPA test predicts — many actually beat their EPA estimate.

Range Score tops out at 100 and reflects estimated real-world performance, so you can compare any two cars on the same scale, regardless of brand.
